Gage's Christmas Present

Gage noticed one day that Cade had gotten him a Christmas present. So Gage went and made Cade a present. Gage drew him some pictures. Then Gage went and hid in the storage room and wrapped the present all by himself. It was so cute and sweet. He did such a great job of wrapping. I just had to include one last Christmas post before I got off the computer.

Christmas 2008

So I attached a bunch of pictures from our Christmas morning. We have decided not brave the slick wet roads and are staying home. The boys had a ball. Gage walked into the front room (not awake) looked around sat in my lap and then when and got Grandma DeeAnn. Then the party began. Cade didn't want to come into the room for a few minutes. Finally, Gage coaxed him in. Gage was so excited over his Chick toothbrush. Then he opened a bunch of Transformers. Boy was he in heaven. Cade hauled off with a lot of Cars themed toys, but he did get his own BBee (Bumblebee transformer.)
Well I hope you are having a Merry Christmas. I am going to go relax with the boys.

Christmas Party

Santa always comes to the Christmas party to visit with the kids one last time. Gage is really into Santa this year. He even noticed that this Santa was the same one that went to his school earlier in the morning. Cade is not so sure. This was the closest that he would get to him. He did reach out and grab the present. I also need to post the ones when we road in the fire truck with Grandpa, Grandma, and Santa. Cade was excited until Santa got in. Then he was a little nervous.

Christmas Eve Party

Here are the cupcakes that we took to our Benson Family Christmas Party. They turned out so cute. Gage did the eyes and nose, Skippy did the beard and part of the hat, while I frosted. We put them in a cupcake tier and they turned out really cute. I know that I am biased, but they did.

Gingerbread House

The boys and I built a Gingerbread House yesterday. It was so much fun. I put the frosting on and they both put the decorations on. I knew that Gage would have lots of fun decorating the house, but I was worried about Little "HuriCade." He had a ball too. He was so careful about putting on the candy. Here he is decorating his final tree.
Here is Gage constructing his favorite part - the sidewalk. He is so proud of it. It is very cool. Gage has plans for next year's house and I have to say we will need better help than myself. He wants people in there looking out the windows.

And here is the finished product. Cade did the little tree all by himself. Don't forget to check out Gage's sidewalk.

Polar Express

We went on the Polar Express. It is in Heber City and the boys loved it. Gage had to take his bell from the movie with us. He kept in his pocket the whole time.
We just barely got on the train. We were kind of like the little boy, in the movie, that decides to go at the last minute and runs to catch the train. We got out of the car to go and get our tickets (they were in will call) and over the loud speaker we hear, "Last call for boarding the Polar Express." Needless to say we ran and caught the train.
We were served hot chocolate and cookies. They also read The Polar Express to us. Mrs. Claus even visited. Then when we got to the North Pole Santa got on the train and gave everyone a bell. The conductor also punched our tickets and what was funny was that he punched a star by the words - arrive 30 minutes early. Skippy and I thought it was pretty funny. We also sang Christmas songs and Gage even held up a cue card. He let Cade have a turn as well.
